Mayrhofen
Location
Mayrhofen is a typical Tiroler village and by far the largest in the Zillertal valley. The village is known for its relaxed attitude and the area offers every athlete or tourist a great time in the mountains.
The Gasthof is located 5 minutes from the center of town. The Mayrhofens two gondolas are only a 10 minute walk from the hotel. These will bring you to the Penken or Ahorn area where you will be able to enjoy yourself, both in summer and winter.
Transportation
The (ski)bus stops in front of the Gasthof. It will bring you to Mayrhofens gondolas within 5 minutes. In the high season you can choose to take the bus to the Hornbergbahn gondola where it is more quiet but brings you to the same area. In winter time the bus is free of charge, included in your lift pass. In summer time you pay €2,- for a day ticket and €9,25 for a week ticket. The other areas of the Zillertal are easily accessed by train. The station is within a 5 minutes walking distance of the Gasthof.
Entertainment
Mayrhofen has many shops, for every kind of shopper there is something to find. We enjoy visiting the stores, The Seeker, More Boards and The Greenroom. Besides our own Riders Lounge and Cantina you can find many other bars and restaurants. Mayrhofen has everything from large clubs to traditional wineries. Besides nice shops, bars and clubs you can find many wellness centres in Mayrhofen, to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery.
